-The artist of PAC Modrian uses the internet as a medium and as a tool for it because of the web page in the framework for the internet.  It is like drawing; you need a pencil in order to draw. However, a pencil is not the only media you can draw with, it is one of man that can be used.  Therefore, the web page is the tool to the internet as media because those are the only things you can go to when using the internet. How else are you suppose to use it or where else are you suppose to go?
-This net art is interactive.  When going to the site you can stay on the page and read the information.  Secondly, you can click the link and move to the different page and read or see what is on it.  It gives you a chance to use other sources for information you need or just want to know but, may not know how to get to it. Thirdly, you can click a link to actually play the games as well as have them to take you to other games or sites that has similar information to what you are interested in. Finally, this net art gets you interacted with other was that net art can be done.  It shows you what the artist has done as well as other ideas from him or her or other people; as if it is a cooperative as well as interactive.
-I believe this net art is mostly non linear but, some of it could be considered linear therefore, a mix of both.  There are no exact lines forming the net art or web page. However, the only linear part about about it is the scrolling of the bar to go up and down the page. This then could be considered linear but, only a part of it. The other part that could be linear are the lines in the paragraphs that are horizontal.  Other than that I do not think this type of net art is linear in anyway.
-The concept of this net art is to get the peoples attention using an "old school" game but having it be modern. As a kid I remember playing PAC man on my sega which was my video game box that I used. I remember having to complete each level by using a controller with an arrow pad and an A and B button.  I caught on to using it very quickly, however, now that it is on the computer it took me longer to learn for a couple reasons.  First, I had to learn which buttons on the computer did what as well as if I had to hold it down or keep tapping it.  Secondly, I had to get use to the movements my fingers had to on the buttons rather than just using my thumbs like I did as kid. Finally,I had to get use to hitting the right buttons instead of the wrong. If I were to hit the wrong button it might either not work or take me to another page.  Another thing are the colors used are exactly like the original game; blue, yellow, red and white.  Also the characters have changed a bit in form but,  still have the same colors and are still recognizable as PAC man. There is a space like layout with the black background as if I am in a new world, which is the point of net art; something new. Finally, the links to other pages and to games make you interact with the art and get interested in what is going on. They want you to participate in the modern way to play PAC man as well as the other qualities like touch, dance and paint.
-This net artwork to me is one that will keep my attention and interest.  At first, I did not know how I felt about net art but, PAC Modrian is one that I was interested in as a kid and now it is back in a new way. Another way it has gotten my interest is in the way it takes you to other sites. I like a web page that will link you to other resources for information as well as activities.  As for a social impact I believe it will be popular due to the original popularity of Pac Man in the form of a video game.  I believe once  people take the time to understand it they will be more willing to try it out in this new modern age.

  1. You have identified some characteristics of Net art such as interactive and nonlinear with your review of several works and focus on Pac Mondrian. Linearity refers to the form of the Net art rather than the drawing style. Typically, Net art involves nonlinear exploratory paths for viewers to pursue, in which what you will find as a viewer is not preconceived. Pac Mondrian uses a REMIX aesthetics. I hope you had the sound on your computer as the jazz music is an important aspect of this Net artwork.
