I think these technologies are use for a variety of reasons. First, I believe people wanted to try something new other than the ordinary learning or planning in the classroom. I think trying new things is good, especially for beginning teachers. This way they can try techniques and keep what they like and throw away with the rest. Secondly, I believe it is a way to be organized with their selves as well as with others. My using these technologies they can connect and talk to each other as well as having peers see what is going on as well. This way others can get ideas and have it help with what they are doing.
This technology helps in learning and teaching in many ways. I believe it helps the relationship between the learner and the teacher. This helps it because the learner can see what the teacher has planned out as well as what other students are doing by what is posted. I also think it helps the relationship because the teacher can also look at students work all in the same place, a very good way to keep student work organized. Secondly, it helps with progression of the learners. They can see what they need to do, as well as progressing with making connections with peers.
I would use this technology in my future teaching for posting projects and instructions so the students have them and can refer to them when needed. I think this is a good way to use it because the students won't misplace any instructions. They will also have the ability to ask questions all in one place so I and others can help answer them. I would also use it to post grades. Therefore, each student would have their own page they can go to and see grades as well as feedback for their projects without having to worry what other students got. Another way I would use this technology is to be organized with my own ideas, thoughts, lessons and projects. I think this is a great way to do that for one reason; it is all in the same place. I have a hard time being organized and I believe by learning how to use this, it can help and improve my future as an educator.
